A Pleasant Surprise

Yesterday, as I was watching a group of young Blue Jays, I saw this quiet, lone bird perched on another branch. The day was pretty windy and it was hard to focus through the foliage, but I did manage to get a fairly decent shot this time.

wow! rare to see one alone! how neat for you!
I had a lot of them last year, but didn’t see any this past winter. Maybe it was TOO COLD!
Great shot,
Very pretty. Love the waxwings.
I LOVE Cedar Waxwings! I used to see them more often when I was a child…maybe we had a tree of berries. I have an old juniper shrub that I won’t let my husband pull out, in the hope that birds will come to it. Over the years, the waxwings have swooped in for a few minutes, but not in the past two years.
Beautiful! The background is really nice, too!
Oh wow, lucky you!!!
