Fall Hummer

I think we’re down to one.  I sat on the deck this beautiful fall afternoon and watched this little beauty go from flower to flower. But the flowers are fading and the bees are trying to take over the nectar in the feeder, so I don’t think she’ll be here much longer.

    That’s an awesome photo! No hummingbirds observed here in the upper Midwest in weeks! Just lots of those cute little brown birds with white breasts.

    our numbers fell by at least half a few days ago. guess the fellows moved on.

  4. She’s super!! We had three total; found the male dead last weekend after hitting the front door. So sad! But we still have two. I was surprised to see them still around.

    Lovely capture, Pat! So glad you are enjoying these fall days – it’s a great time of year here in Texas, too. We still have hummers, but not near what we had a week ago. They are all moving south. Smart little buggers!
