Notch and the Hiding Place

First, he looks all around to make sure he wasn’t followed by another squirrel or one of those thieving Blue Jays.
Hiding his prize has left him covered with dirt. Look at those paws!
All done! Time to go get some more!

I wish he lived here. I have tried and tried to get to where I can photograph what squirrels show up on the property, but my score is ZERO! Have put out feeders all over the place. They get the goodies, but won’t hang around for me to shoot them. These are wonderful. They really do bring the little guy to life and show off his personality. genie

We had a visiting squirrel that we named Chico. He dug a hole in one of our flower pots on the deck and buried some sunflower seeds in it for the winter. Cute little guy. He looked the same as Notch all covered in dirt.
