I love to hear him in the spring.
Wild Bird Wednesday
Funny….I heard blackbirds at my feeders this morning, but they weren’t the red winged ones. Those seem to stay out of town!
Pat, I love this shot! I haven’t seen a RWB yet this year, but I love their spring song, too. It reminds me of the theme music on St. Paul Sunday on Public Radio.
Pat, that’s a beauty! I love hearing their raucous voices too!
Maybe, finally, the pretty bird brings the longed-for spring.
Happy Easter I wish you love Pat ♥
really beautiful, pat!
Beautiful, Pat! They have a beautiful song. So nice that you have these birds near you.
I have to visit the bird refuge to see these birds, and they are usually too far away to get a good photo, but they sure are neat to see.
We had an entire flock of these in the front yard yesterday, and they sounded wonderful.
You captured this one beautifully, Pat, and as always, your edits are so beautiful.
Hearing them and seeing them in early spring to me are one of the first real hopeful signs.
Isn’t nature something?! Margie
Another post out there on the web has a video of the call of this bird. I can see why look forward to it in spring.
Cheers and thanks for linking to WBW – Stewart M – Melbourne
I love to hear them as well and they are around in great numbers right now. What a lovely photo of this one!
Me too! Gorgeous bird!
yes, those are such interesting birds with their bright red spots…lovely capture!!
I can never quite capture these birds well. But you did! Great shot.
Beautiful picture of a beautiful bird. Wish you a happy Easter 🙂
“Bailey Road” has been included in the Sites To See for this week. Be assured that I hope this helps to point many new visitors in your direction.
Beautiful bird, just beautiful.
A black beauty, with a little bit of make up.
what a lovely photo of this one! 🙂
Great photo of a handsome bird. I wish our Blackbirds (we only have one species) were as colorful as yours!
Wow – what a beauty!
Happy Easter, Pat! Hope you have a joyous weekend.
Lovely picture. The colors are magnificant and the texture just right.
So pretty! Love the texture work too.
So odd– just as I began to write this a Red-winged Blackbird sang in our back yard area at the lake’s edge. We do not see many here, though they are quite numerous in the wetlands next to our subdivision. Happy Easter!
Handsome harbingers of spring when they’re doing their song 🙂
I wonder his wings look like while he’s flying. Such a beautiful bird!
