LOL..it does look like that..I had just posted what I thought was a grasshopper to BugGuide and was told katydid…kaydids have long antenna and grasshoppers short ones so yours I think is a katydid..Oh I learned a female as yours is because of the long ovipositor that lets her cut into leaves and things……Michelle
