Linking to Rural Thursday
This is such a beautiful capture.
lovely! very nice tones :). greetings….
Much more beautiful than the doves I see around my house.
She’s all ruffled up! Great shot.
This photo has captured the gentleness of this bird.
this is beautiful 🙂
I used to think (years ago) that its name was spelled “morning” because I always tend to hear their calls in the mornings. Lovely capture.
I love their sad song. Beautiful capture, Pat. 🙂
–Doves are the Movie Stars of Birds! Gorgeous.
Isn’t that a sweet birdie! =)
So very pretty.
Such a pretty pose from this elegant bird. 🙂
I miss the occasional mourning doves in our little town….the aggressive “outsider,” the Asian Collared dove, has moved in. They reproduce like mice, evidently, because they are all over the place, and it’s no unusual to see 6 or 8 of them together. They do have a “mourning” sound sometimes, but often it’s a kind of grating screech. (How did you convince this dove to choose this perfect setting for your photograph? 😉 It’s beautiful.)
Beautiful bird, fantastic photograph. I am greeting
Perfect picture of this gentle beauty! We do have them here (one of our very few backyard birds) and also a smaller more reddish dove — but I can’t ever get one to pose so beautifully.
That is a beautiful bird.
One of my favorite birds, and this one is a sweetheart.
