I love seeing these little birds in winter, usually hopping around under the feeder.
The Creative Exchange
So that is a junco.
Bit like an overgrown sparrow really…..
They have been spotted over here this winter.
Seeing that I can’t tell a dunnock from a sparrow, I have little chance of knowing that I have actually seen one. Unless they wear name tags.
You do wonders with snow.
And they blend with the surroundings. I wonder how they keep themselves warm?
Never heard of Jungo… But the name “snow bird” is sooo cute 🙂 And this picture is just amazing!
Oh that is a lovely picture. But it does look a wee bitty chilly.
really nice picture 🙂
Yes, they’re all fluffed up out there at the moment aren’t they? I love your photography, this one is beautifully done as usual 🙂
Beautiful capture! The bird looks very cold. But she( he) may enjoy the cold winter
Yes, they are so cute, they look like little feather balls !
Such a beautiful capture and amazing photo of a wintery scene!
Pat, he’s adorable, and I love the fact that you were able to photograph him with the snow falling. This is truly a beautiful photograph!
Thank you so much for sharing with us today at The Creative Exchange.

The picture is beautiful, exquisite whites, that bird is a brave before the snowfall. Greetings.
that is a stunning photo of a beautiful bird!
looks like painting, too.
very nicely done:)
i LOVE your blog/photography!
This is beautiful picture.
So gorgeous in the subtle softness of the snow! Our juncos here in the NW have ‘hoods’ the male’s hood is almost black and the female a soft charcoal grey…
Your images are so beautiful and a visual reprieve from the heat that we’re experiencing here in Queensland, Australia.
What a sweet capture…I love it!
Pat, what an excellent capture of the Junco with all that snow flying! We see them most here, too, when the snow flies, and you defined that snow bird perfectly with that shot.
a beautiful bird and a nice editing that suits it. Great work. 🙂
You couldn’t have captured Winters Beauty any better!
They are so sweet — and busy little fellers at the feeder. 🙂
I love the snow falling in the background. Brr i hope this little one keeps itself warm.
I never tire of looking at your little birds!
Extraordinarily exquisite beauty. Stunning image!
What a beautiful capture! I love the delicate coloration, design, and minimalist quality (the joy of winter) of this piece!
Hope your week is happy:)
